A Fresh Start for 2022. What’s YOUR New Year’s Resolution or Goal?

It’s 2022. We’re more jaded now than last year. But we’re also eternal optimists. If you couldn’t (Wouldn’t or didn’t) think of a fresh start for 2022, here’s your chance to grab some ideas!

1 Pick your word for the year ( don’t worry, you can change it!)

2 Give someone a compliment

3 Take 5 minutes (use a timer) and pick up a mess

4 Take a 30 minute break for yourself, NO ONE ELSE

5 Write a note to someone

6 Let someone go in front of you – can be the grocery line or in traffic

7 Take a friend or colleague out for coffee (Or maybe just do it by Zoom)

8 Go to the library (If it’s open)

9 Put your phone away for an hour

10 Try a new recipe

11 Call an old friend

12 Take a walk, no phone

13 Watch an old movie (Recommending Moonstruck)

14 Do something kind for yourself

15 Give a treat to your postal carrier

16 Smile at a stranger

17 Give someone a hug

18 Tell a joke to make someone smile

19 Go through old pictures and send to someone as a surprise

20 Tell a loved one that you are proud of them

21 Go through your closet and give something away

22 Hold the door open for someone

23 Say hello and make eye contact with a homeless person, buy them coffee if you can!

24 Do something unexpected for someone

25 Put some money in a parking meter that is almost expired or is!

26 Read a poem

27 Sit down and enjoy some quiet time

28 Listen to music that you usually don’t listen to

29 Write a love letter

30 Offer to help a neighbor with a chore

31 Review how you feel after a month of positive affirmations

Have some other ideas to add to this list? Let’s work together on a February list and rock 2021 like the Queenagers we are or aspire to be!

Liz

First and foremost, Liz is a wife, mother of two beautiful and intelligent daughters and one son-in-law and one soon to be son-in-law, and one bigger than life Maltese and first time grandmother of an adorable baby boy!

I am a friend, a sister, a tennis player and love to laugh at funny jokes (some I hear over and over, but always forget the punch lines) and secretly, I love to sing but usually get the lyrics wrong. Not a big deal, as I just think mine work anyway!

I also like to needlepoint, shop, go out with friends, have friends over for dinner, help my husband cook (I’m spoiled, he LOVES to cook!), bake and play with my dog!

I also love to write! Until next time…
